Is autism caused by problems with the intestines? Dr. Andrew Wakefield, who was in the forefront of the MMR vaccine controversy, apparently thinks so. Here is an article about diet and drugs versus psychiatry in the treatment of autism. Of course it seems to me that if Dr. Wakefield’s allegations were true he would have some really hard evidence to point to – perhaps one or two children who had been cured using his recommendations? Who knows?
