This article says, “Soy and whey build muscle equally – in rats at least.” This article says that when comparing meals given to the rats, and looking at protein synthesis, the carbohydrate-only meal was inferior to those containing soy or whey. Because I am a vegan, people sometimes ask me where I get my protein if I don’t eat meat. There are lots of places where I get protein. Soy is one. Here is an article that talks about how much protein you need. This article says, “The average mixed American diet provides from one to two times the RDA for protein.”
