Apparently scientists have figured out how to reverse some symptoms of mad cow disease in mice, which is good news; and now there is a new theory that prion diseases like this and Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease might be caused by a virus, which is really scary – the virus part, that is. Aren’t viruses contagious? Anyway . . . it’s good to read that scientists are apparently making progress on this. It’s the kind of disease, of course, that everyone wants to avoid at all costs. Maybe we’ll be able to.
